One of the enduring mysteries that lost liberals try to noodle over is the increase in black Americans voting for Trump. In 2016, Trump won approximately 6% of the African American vote, whereas in 2020, he won 8% of that demographic.

Pundits often assert that “illegal immigrants do jobs that Americans won’t” but as the Root article notes, “Following a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement raid that nabbed 300 undocumented workers at a Columbia Farms processing plant in Columbia, S.C., a spooked House of Raeford quietly began replacing immigrants with native-born labor at all of its plants. Less than a year later, House of Raeford’s flagship production line in Raeford, N.C., had been transformed, going from more than 80 percent Latino to 70 percent African-American, according to a report by the Charlotte Observer.”
Now an op-ed in the NY Post is once again showing the damage that illegal and uncontrolled immigration does to black Americans:
According to Harvard economist George Borjas, “a 10 percent immigration-induced increase in the supply of workers in a particular skill group reduced the black [male] wage of that group by 2.5 percent, lowered the employment rate by 5.9 percentage points and increased the incarceration rate by 1.3 percentage points.” https://nypost.com/2021/06/25/liberal-immigration-policies-hit-blacks-hard/
The author goes on to say that in 2019 after a raid at a chicken processing plant in MS in 2019, the several hundred workers who were in the United States unlawfully were replaced with local residents, almost all of whom were African American.
So the leftists running the modern Democratic Party truly are “lost liberals” – in their haste to welcome anyone over the border, they harm the constituency they claim to most cherish. So what is it Dems – do “Black Lives Matter” and if they do, why do you insist on keeping them down?
Not securing the borders is “structural racism” and for all those leftist who truly believe in “disparate impact” – well, the disparate impact of open borders is most certainly racist and discriminatory.
The leftist running the Democratic Party have set themselves up in a circular firing squad – the “open borders” are shooting at the “Black Lives Matter” who are attacking the police (80% of whom belong to a union, and unions used to be squarely in the Democratic voting bloc.) Don’t forget, the Leftist LGBTQIA+++ crowd are shooting at all people of faith, and the Democrats are fine with that generally, as long as the arrows land on Christians and Jews…. but what is going to happen when the Democratic-party-favored religious minority of Islam gets shot? Prepare for some intersectional jihad….
