Last year, as fear-mongers in the press and bureaucrats drunk on their own power “locked down” Americans and our theretofore-robust economy, a funny thing happened: a coin shortage. Despite protests from the US Government in 2020 that there isn’t a “shortage” only a “circulation problem,” here we are a year later and even big stores like this Wal-Mart isn’t able to obtain enough coins to meet demand.
Approximately 30% of Americans don’t have credit cards, and approximately 6% do not have a bank account. These Americans rely on cash. Small mom and pop stores who can’t afford to pay the credit card merchant fees rely on cash. Bloated, ineffectual government, mismanagement of the money supply and foolish fiscal policies always and overwhelmingly harm the poor…. who are now not only not able to shop at their small delis and shops in their neighborhoods, but also not even able to shop at Wal-Mart, one of the biggest and cheapest sources of groceries in the USA.
So where are the social justice warriors and the Biden Administration? Crickets…
